Regional Field Engineer
Location: Southampton
Salary: £30,000 - £38,000

Akkodis are currently working in partnership with a market-leading service provider to recruit a talented Regional Field Engineer to support customer infrastructure within their region. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to build a career in IT. There will be opportunities to develop new skills and training opportunities with exposure to emerging technologies.
The Role
Our client is seeking an individual with great communication skills, who works well within a fast-paced environment and has good attention to detail. The role also requires somebody who can build rapport with customers externally.
The Responsibilities
- Onsite response to customer needs.
- Carrying out configurations, installations and replacing equipment when necessary.
- Providing technical support for network infrastructure, whether it is wired or wireless.
- Liaising with customers and third parties to ensure all incidents and requests are dealt with effectively.
- Performing diagnostics, Wi-Fi test surveys and reports.
- Managing live network environments.
- Working closely with the project delivery team.
The Requirements
- CCNA Qualified.
- Current or previous experience providing fixes to networking equipment and switches etc.
- Experience installing/building floor and wall cabinets.
- Exceptional fault-finding/troubleshooting skills.
- Holder of ECS or CSCS card.
- Experience in splicing all types of fibre.
- Installation and termination of copper cabling (Car 5, 5e, 6).
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience in site documentation survey reports.
