IT Business Analyst-Success Factors

Modis, Inc. is seeking to hire an IT Business Analyst-Success Factors professional for a large national employer in the Akron area. This contract role is primarily responsible for providing configuration, administration and support for the SuccessFactors platform.

Analyst Responsibilities:

  • Experience using SuccessFactors tools to support Report Center, Presentations, Calibration, Integration Center, role-based permission (security), API’s, XML, HTML, and software release management process
  • Lead development and governance of SuccessFactors configuration, including the development of needed integrations to other systems (both internal and external)
  • Understanding of core HR processes around compensation, talent management, recruiting, onboarding and compliance while ensuring technology solutions can be implemented to meet all current and emerging business requirements
  • Proficient in integrating solutions and support application enhancements, upgrades and patches
  • Create technical specification documentation, software configuration, and debugging
  • Create and execute comprehensive unit test plans, develop test cases, assist with integration, and complete system test plans
  • Develop technical designs and estimates to meet the business needs while supporting the company’s overall IT direction and standards
  • Enable the HR functions to optimize business outcomes using SuccessFactors by acting as a liaison between the business and IT
  • Utilize SuccessFactors Learning Management, Talent Management, Recruiting, and Onboarding modules to provide business process support
  • Participate in the review of new functionality for each system release, testing and implementation
  • Identify opportunities for improvements using SuccessFactors and collaborate with HR business unit on strategic direction of current processes and what can be moved into the platform
  • Work independently or with business analysts to support requirements definition and test scenario identification.


  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer/Management Information Systems, a related degree, or commensurate experience.
  • 5 to 10 years’ experience working as an IT technical professional supporting a SuccessFactors platform.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to Company sites, work flexible hours, and be available for call-in and after-hours support (7x24 operations) when needed
  • Demonstrated ability to provide software solutions and supporting entire software development life cycle
  • Ability to learn new concepts in information technology, learn the characteristics of new systems and update skills to adapt to changing technology. Willingness to undertake assignments involving unfamiliar subjects, with the aptitude to learn quickly.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to make formal presentations to various audiences, the ability to express difficult and complex concepts clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.
  • Highly motivated to work independently and productively but also able to work in a virtual environment with remote co-workers using virtual technologies
  • Ability to meet established priorities and schedules, and willing to undertake assignments involving multiple tasks.
