Title: Procurement Analyst
Duration: Contractual
Location: Hybrid Remote
Modis is seeking a Procurement Analyst to work on assignment for one of our top Automotive Clients in Auburns Hills, MI. This is a full-time Hybrid position so candidates must be local to the area. As a Procurement Analyst you will be responsible for optimizing the stocking levels of an assigned group of parts and accessories within service parts distribution centers for dealer networks within the U.S. and Canada and for applicable export markets.
What the role looks like:
Monitor an assigned group of parts and accessories and take the appropriate actions to maintain optimal inventory levels at network locations of service parts distribution centers.
Develop and maintain positive relationships with supplier contacts to ensure that all orders are shipped to distribution centers within the prescribed delivery times.
Ensure that all assigned parts and accessories are ordered in an economical and efficient manner.
Work with individual suppliers to develop structured supply recovery plans for critical backorder situations.
Prepare escalation summaries for management.
Utilize problem solving techniques to identify the root cause and develop countermeasures when targets for critical metrics are not met.
Track and prepare management reports for critical parts.
Qualifications:
1-3 years of experience in Procurement, Demand Planning, Purchasing, Supply Chain or related field
Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent professional experience (Supply Chain Management, Business Management, Operations Management or Logistics)
Ability to join people, processes, or systems
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite i.e., Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word
Decision making ability, adaptability, and negotiating skills
