We have a need for a visual designer for a great firm in Boston.

 

  • Communicate and collaborate with project stakeholders to deliver high-quality, scalable, on-brand graphic solutions to build superior vendor and customer experiences.
  • Review work and provide design feedback to fellow designers
  • Innovate and raise the creative design bar
  • Produce graphics, templates, layouts and visual standards for internal and external projects
  • Create, provide and manage design documentation and specifications
  • Proactively manage time and deadlines
  • Work closely with fellow designers to ensure high standards of graphic design, brand consistency and customer experience
  • Participate in corporate initiatives to improve creative standards and internal processes in order to guarantee only the highest standards of customer experience and graphic execution are delivered to our customers
  • Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Visual Communications or related field or commensurate design experience
  • 2+ years of experience in a Visual Design or related role
  • A remarkable portfolio that demonstrates excellence in innovation and composition. (Please include its link on your resume)
  • Expertise in graphic design and digital production of electronic products throughout the entire product life cycle
  • Thorough knowledge of current design practices, tools, and standards
  • Mastery of the principals of design, color theory, typography, design accessibility and graphics file creation optimized for digital media
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and self-prioritize
  • Ability to interact at all levels of the company in a professional manner, maintaining effective written, oral and presentation skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity
  • Team-oriented, having strong time management skills, with the ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
  • Self-starter with a bias toward action who is a customer-obsessed, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic team player
  • Ability to work with engineering teams and facilitate design implementation
  • Knowledge of web architecture, usability, UX, and UI Design with a willingness to be mentored in UX Design

    Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in a Visual Design or related role
  • Experience defining or maintaining a design style guide
  • Expert understanding of graphics creation and manipulation optimized for palette, size, and speed of download
  • A proven ability to work for multiple teams across a broad range of product ranges and synthesize feedback and input from Senior leaders, product teams and copywriters
  • Unwavering attention to detail and an acute awareness that everything counts
  • Relentless desire for innovation, balanced with business and user interaction priorities
  • Demonstrated business acumen and customer-centricity
