Modis currently has an opening for a Network Administrator in Rochester, NY. This is a hybrid role where there is on-site and remote work. The person needs to be within 50 miles of Rochester, NY due to having to be on-site when needed. The Network Administrator’s role is to ensure the stable operation of the in-house computer network. This includes planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network hardware, software, and communication links. No visa sponsorship or corp to corp candidates for this role.

· The Network Administrator will analyze and resolve network and server operating system problems in a timely and accurate fashion.

· Technical knowledge and hands on experience with server operating systems, including Windows Server 2016/2019.

· Extensive experience with remote access technologies, specifically Citrix.

· Working technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and standards.

· Hands-on experience with unified computing systems.

· On-call availability required

· Good documentation and procedure writing skills

· Strong written and oral communication skills.

· Ability to diagnose and resolve networking issues and products as required.

· Highly self-motivated and directed with a keen attention to detail.

· Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

Strategy & Planning

· Perform network design and capacity planning.

· Develop, implement and maintain policies, procedures and associated training plans for network resource administration, appropriate use, and disaster recovery.

Operational Management

· Manage servers, including e-mail, and backup servers and their associated operating systems and software.

· Manage virtual desktop infrastructure platform

· Oversee installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network hardware and security software.

· Manage security solutions, anti-virus, encryption and intrusion detection systems.

· Manage all network hardware and equipment, including routers, switches, hubs, and UPSs.

· Perform system backups and recovery.

· Recommend, schedule, and perform network improvements, upgrades, and repairs.

· Plans, coordinates, directs work of company technology vendors. Manages hardware support service providers.
