Systems Engineer II - (Remote)

Akkodis is seeking a Sr System Engineer located in Des Moines, Cedar Rapids/ Iowa City, or Omaha, NE area! This is a full-time role so candidates must be able to work Full-time without sponsorship! This is also mostly remote!

We are not working with Corp to Corp/ 3rd parties on this role.

Pay/Salary Range: 125-150k/year depending on experience.

Responsibilities:

• Communicate both big-picture business drivers and technical details throughout projects

• Attend vendor training, conferences, webinars, and continuing education to maintain current knowledge of relevant technology and research industry best practices

• Gain and maintain certifications in areas of expertise

• Benchmark, analyze, report on and make recommendations for the improvement and growth of professional and managed services technology infrastructure

• Write documents, reports, and technical articles or knowledgebase clients, technical personnel, and partners

• Consult with managed services engineers to drive support escalations to resolution

• Other duties as assigned

Desired Experience, Skills, Abilities:

• 3+ years of related information systems experience with 2+ years work experience with enterprise-level server, storage, virtualization

• Microsoft Hosting Technologies (Office 365,Azure, Azure AD)

• The ability to create lasting relationships with client technology teams

• Application and Desktop Delivery (Citrix, Horizon, VDI, Azure Virtual Desktop, RDS)

• Window Server experience

• Server and enterprise-level hardware (Cisco UCS, also HP and Dell)

• Storage Solutions (Pure Storage, also HP, Dell, other storage vendors)

• Datacenter Virtualization (VMWare, Hyper-V)

• Familiarity with enterprise procedures (change control, incident response, business continuity)

• Associates or bachelor’s degree
