Technical Leader in Development

This is a Full-Time role! No Corp to Corp, No EAD, No OPT.

Looking for a  strong Developer who has informally or formally lead teams technically. This is an opportunity to start your management / leadership career! Don't think you're ready, this is a great safety net / mentorship environment. Must be within Cedar Rapids / Corridor area! Must be willing to work onsite.

· 4+ years robust developer experience; ideally 1-year leadership experience (Eagle Scout, Military, Tech Lead) 

· The ideal candidate will have experience with development and verification of aerospace embedded software and/or system, ideally with Python, C and similar languages. 

· The ideal candidate will have experience with embedded, real-time, safety-critical software development and verification including with civil certification requirements, mil standards, and/or DO-178, DO-254, ARP4754 requirements

· Effective time management skills, with strong organization and prioritization abilities

· People first - Desire to cultivate a creative, team-oriented environment

· Passion for success - ability to work with customers to identify value-based solutions and follow through to deliver results

· Strong interpersonal skills to tailor communications with a wide audience, such as engineering, management, and customers Responsibilities:

· Lead, coach, mentor, and grow team of 6 to 10 engineers

· Participation and/or oversight with stage of involvement/certification meetings

· Advocate the performance/administrative management for direct reports

· Execute projects to meet schedule, cost, and quality objectives

· Customer advocate to assure engineering team and our value-based engineering service is aligned or exceeds customer expectations
