Lead Business Analyst - Parts Solutions

Hybrid opportunity:  3 days in office, Monday and Friday from home

The Lead Business Analyst will partner with technical and functional teams to streamline Customer Service processes, enable eCommerce, help drive a smart pricing process, and enable Transit Transformation (among other projects).

In this role, you will be responsible for gathering functional requirements, developing and executing solutions, and supporting functional end-users through their use of new technology (SFDC, call center, Oracle, etc.). The successful candidate will have an opportunity to affect both short-term and long-term business goals in Freight and Transit Services and the spare parts business.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product owners, subject matter experts, and cross-functional business partners to understand, translate, and document project requirements
  • Lead prototypes and iterate on ideas. Demonstrate skill in problem decomposition and the ability to work with limited supervision to navigate through ambiguity.
  • Gather requirements and ensure alignment between functional partners, customers, and development teams both within and outside of the Services team
  • Collaborate closely with Program Manager, Solution Architect, and development team in scope and feature decisions, defining timelines and release schedules
  • Design, implement, and maintain solution specific artifacts, life cycle plans, project plans and roadmaps
  • Author project charters, detailed functional and technical specifications required to satisfy business requirements for programs, projects and releases
  • Complete tasks, reporting status and assignments in a concise and timely fashion
  • Perform data analysis in support of ad-hoc needs and business projects, including working with application teams to determine best solution(s)
  • Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering (or a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of information systems design, implementation, or integration)
  • Working knowledge of services lifecycle management and/or configuration management concepts in an industrial setting
  • 1-3 years of experience partnering with functional business teams in context of process automation
  • BA eCommerce SalesForce experience
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience working in a matrix organization with global teams
