Requisition Summary

Modis is seeking an Assistant HR Manager for an exciting opportunity with one of our top clients in Columbus, Mississippi! Our client is a global technology leader in the design and manufacturing of heavy-duty trucks and truck parts. This role will be responsible for providing Human Resources leadership and services for the assigned areas: Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Leadership development for clients which includes the recruiting/staffing selection, performance feedback process, organization resource planning process (succession), career development planning (IDP) process, and hands-on curriculum development and training.
  • Organization effectiveness for clients which includes high performance work systems, continuous improvement systems support, change management systems, communication processes, employee satisfaction measurements and improvement systems, employee issue resolution systems, union-free systems, and reward and recognition systems.
  • Human Resources Services/Administration leadership. Acts as a liaison with the Human Resources Administrators which includes compensation administration, benefit administration, Human Resources computer systems, and regulatory compliance and guidance.
  • Supervising experience over Health & Safety and Training.
  • Leads and/or participates in projects.
  • Qualifications & Skills

  • Five (5) to seven (7) years Human Resources Generalist experience in a manufacturing environment required
  • Experience in both Union and Non-Union environment preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field required
  • MBA, PHR, SPHR preferred.
