Project Manager opportunity with a Fortune 500 company!
Pay: $65-72/hr
Location: Columbus, MS
Length: 1 year contract minimum
Responsibilities:
Define and document project scope, objectives, timelines
Identify, document, and manage stakeholder expectations, both internally and externally
Prepare and manage a budget based on project scope, using input from IT Management
Document and track budgetary estimations and actuals
Work with IT Management to identify resource constraints
Estimate resource requirements and identify potential risks
Document a work plan for the project depending upon project requirement and member expertise
Provide project updates to stakeholders and ITD, as required
Create and manage contracts/POs with suppliers and vendors, ensuring timely deliveries and cost management
Perform regular assessment of project execution to identify areas for improvement
Track project status and performance in the specified format, documents, and systems
Create and maintain detailed project documentation like 4-squares and required documents in the project management system
Perform risk management based on scope, timing, and cost to minimize potential risks
Use the generally accepted tools and techniques for project management, including prescribed reporting documents and systems
Ensure project delivery is on time, as per scope and within the allocated budget
Manage interdepartmental coordination to ensure smooth project execution
Qualifications:
Excellent communication skills
Proficient at managing time and tasks
Detail-oriented
Ability to manage detailed project plans and schedules
Willingness to learn and be self-driven
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Capable of managing changing priorities, as they arise
Adept at coordinating internal and external work/tasks
Preferred/Required Skills
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Project Management or related discipline
Proven experience of 5-7years in managing medium to large projects (required)
Proficient in of Microsoft Office suite (required)
PMP certification (preferred)
Domain knowledge in manufacturing setting (preferred)
Proven experience in using popular project management tools such as Agile, Kanban boards, Waterfall (in terms of tollgates), etc. (required)
Knowledge of project management frameworks and best practice (required)
