POSITION SUMMARY
We have an immediate need for an IT Network Manager. Our preference is a candidate local to the Bay Area available for a hybrid schedule in Concord, CA. The IT Network Manager’s primary role and responsibility is to ensure that the technology infrastructure meets the current and future business needs of the enterprise. This includes the organization’s data center and cloud operations, telecommunications, e-mail systems, hardware and software platforms, systems security, and disaster recovery.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the overall security, stability and effectiveness of IT infrastructure including network and server operations, telecommunications, help desk, email systems, hardware & software platforms, and cloud operations
Manage IT infrastructure staff, from recruitment to hiring, training, guiding, coaching, performance assessment and career development, creating career paths for staff growth
Lead the implementations of new technologies, seeking to continuously improve our technology solutions
Create and implement an equipment (Servers, routers, SAN, PC’s, printers, etc.) upgrade schedule
Evaluate performance relating to infrastructure utilization and reliability
Forecast financial, physical, and human resource needs to meet established objectives
Build, deploy, monitor, and maintain servers, LAN, WAN, Cloud and SAN storage devices
Implement, maintain, and support Active Directory, AWS Cloud environment, Office 365, SQL Server, VMware virtual environment, electronic faxing, network/data security and business applications
Provide technical support, training and guidance to users and clients
Install and maintain software upgrades and patches to ensure Athens is on the most secure version of operations systems
Evaluate and coordinate installation of remote computing devices and provide remote client support
Plan and implement server, network, and software upgrades
Assist with bi-annual penetration testing by outside third party
Respond to security questionnaires from customers, vendors, insurance companies, etc.
Administer system and data back-up strategies and programs. Suggest improvements to back-up strategies and programs
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in related field or minimum 5 years job experience specifically in network management
High School diploma/GED required
Certification in Windows and supported systems preferred
5-10 years of experience in the field and/or related area required
5 years of increasing responsibilities in management and/or systems management
Expertise in data center operations, networking architecture, disaster recovery, operating systems, systems security, and electronic mail required
Experience managing within HIPAA, NIST 800 53, SAS 70, and ISO/IEC 27001 security Standards
Experience with Cloud-based server hosting (AWS, Azure, etc.)
Strong knowledge of the Windows platform, Microsoft SQL, VMWare, Microsoft O365 and other application essential to the company’s operations
CISSP highly preferred
Knowledge of commonly used IT concepts, practices, and procedures
Ability to install, maintain and troubleshoot equipment (servers, PCs, routers, printers, scanners, etc.)
Willing to be on call for after hours emergencies, extended hours on occasion may be necessary
