A 6-month Full Stack Software Engineer (W2) job in Cupertino, CA currently available through Modis Engineering, formally Adecco group. This for an excellent, global renowned client.  The pay rate is $65.60/HR.

  • We're looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer to join the ML Platforms team.
  • As a Software Engineer, you will help develop the next generation of ML Developer Tools using frameworks such as React.js. 
  • You should be familiar with React and its ecosystem.
  • Experience with a React codebase is a requirement.
  • Experience also building components deeper in the stack such as Java-based web services is a big plus. 
  • We're looking for someone who is comfortable with a fast-moving environment and can learn quickly.
  • Responsibilities

  • Develop new components and features for our frontend app(s)
  • Document and refactor our frontend codebase
  • Profile and improve our frontend performance
  • Primary Requirements

  • Technical skills and experience in front-end, middleware, and messaging systems
  • Strong software development skills, with proficiency in relevant languages (e.g. Python, Ruby, Javascript, CSS).
  • A passion for making simple, robust products used by other engineering teams
  • Creative, collaborative, and product-focused
  • Additional Requirements

  • Experience building responsive web experiences using modern frameworks and techniques (e.g. React.JS, Ember.JS, Angular, etc) and knowledge of HTML & CSS
  • 4+ years' experience building Web applications with a Javascript framework, and preferably 1+ years using React
  • Familiarity with message-passing, queuing, and workflow systems (e.g. RabbitMQ, SQS, Luigi, Scalding)
  • Experience building intuitive client libraries and command-line tools
  • Experience with operating production systems (monitoring, alarming, problem diagnosis)
  • In-depth understanding of Javascript, the DOM, and relevant concepts
  • Understanding of progressive web apps
  • Experience using Git
  • Experience with data visualization a plus
  • Effective cross-functional collaboration across multiple engineering teams
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
