Modis is seeking for a Contracts Admin for a direct hire opening in Durham, NC. As the Contracts Admin, you will Serve as the main point of contact for internal staff and study sites for clinical research contracts and budgets. Prepare contracts and other support documents and serve as the primary point of contact to facilitate negotiation of the terms and conditions of contracts and budgets with the VP of Research. Review prepared contracts for accuracy and completeness. Assist in the management and oversight of the departmental and contract budgets. Manage reimbursement payments to sites per negotiated contract terms. Lead the department in preparing documentation for internal audits by maintaining all applicable grant and research contract documentation.

The Job Responsibilities for the Contracts Admin in Durham, NC include:

  • Serve as the main point of contact for internal staff and study sites for clinical research contracts and budgets, providing uniformity across sites and conformity with company policies.
  • Work with the VP of Research to facilitate negotiation of the terms and conditions of contracts and budgets
  • Develop and utilize templates to initiate research contract negotiation
  • Request reports from research partners per contract terms and monitor for compliance
  • Assist in the management and oversight of the departmental and contract budgets
  • Work alongside the VP of Research in the development of the yearly Research budget and review monthly spending reports for accuracy
  • Manage reimbursement payments to sites for clinical research as per negotiated contract terms
  • Work with the research team to ensure audit readiness at all times.
  • Utilize templates to develop individual site budgets during contract negotiation
  • Manage reimbursement payments to sites for clinical research as per negotiated contract terms
  • Review, track, and approve expense reports on behalf of Vice President of Clinical and Surgical Research.
  • Work with the research team to ensure audit readiness at all times.
  • Lead the department in preparing documentation for internal audits
  • Maintain all applicable grant and research contract documentation on file for audit readiness
  • Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (BS/BA) and/or related professional experience
  • Excellent computer skills, including an intermediate knowledge of MS Office
  • Experience managing budgets or research contract experience preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Positive attitude, self-motivated and collaborative team spirit a must!
