Assembler - 2nd shift

Perform the set-up, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments and mechanical assemblies. Determine and develop test specifications, methods and procedures from blueprints, drawings and diagrams. Perform connection start-up, test and troubleshoot integrated modular systems. Complete rework on assemblies and/or systems as a result of testing. Prepares technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems.

Responsibilities

  • Assist engineers and scientists in creating, modifying, and testing Ion implanters and RF plasma systems. Inspect products and processes for flaws and identify and communicate areas for improvement. Conduct tests and collect data
  • Work with teams (Manufacturing, Quality, Reliability, Design, etc.) to solve problems arising from product anomalies, engineering evaluations, and new product development
  • Ability to work from schematics, diagrams, written or verbal instruction, layouts or plans to perform testing and troubleshooting
  • Maintain logbooks and test procedure documentation utilizing good writing skills
  • Problem solver who can apply scientific methods efficiently to generate results
  • Ability to identify specification issues with an eye for technical accuracy and thoroughness
  • Observe safety standards. Actively strive to work safely to prevent accidents and injuries
  • QUALIFICATIONS:

  • AA/AS in Electro-Mechanical Engineering, Certificate in Electronics, or equivalent
  • 2-3 years applicable experience
  • Microprocessor systems, digital & analog electronics, and mechanical aptitude required
  • Experience with Microsoft applications, Lotus Notes and SAP is preferred.
  • Experience in the testing of robotic systems. High Vacuum experience preferred.
  • 2nd Shift – 3:45pm-2:15am - Mon-Thurs
