A Technical Lead /Sr. Enterprise Systems Administrator job, based in Houston, TX, is available through Modis. You will have seven years professional system administration experience. You will ensure the security and availability of systems and applications, lead new projects, and develop processes and procedures for ongoing management of the entire environment. Scope of responsibilities include server hardware and software, Azure/Office 365, networking hardware and software, Cisco security tools, and numerous 3rd party solutions. You will be responsible for the design, installation, administration, security, and optimization of our Microsoft client server environment to achieve and maintain high performance and availability. Sr. Enterprise Systems Administrator Team Lead job responsibilities and requirements include:

  • Technical expertise in Microsoft Active Directory 2012/2016/2019 on premise and AD Services in MS Azure, including Users & Computers, Site and Services (Establishing & Managing Trusts), Group Policies, DNS, Federation Services, SSO, and NTFS permissions.
  • Core networking concepts and services such as TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, switching, routing, and WAN/ISP connectivity
  • Knowledge of SSL/TLS encryption, certificates, and installation
  • Serve as a knowledgeable technical resource on server systems, hardware, and software
  • Install and configure new Windows server hardware, software, peripherals, and services in accordance with current IT best practices
  • Ensure security and reliability through patch and revision management of all systems
  • Provide expert level troubleshooting and problem resolution in servers and associated systems
  • Maintain VMware servers including performance, networking, and upgrades
  • Manage mail systems including Office 365 and Cisco Secure Mail
  • Work, and close tickets in IT ticketing system, as escalation point and mentor for the team
  • Manage, monitor, maintain and troubleshoot all storage equipment and related services
  • Experience with complete Cisco Security stack: DUO, Cloudlock, AMP, Secure Email, Umbrella, Firepower Threat Defense, Stealth Watch, ISE, AnyConnect VPN, Threat Grid a plus.
  • Experienced with malware containment and remediation across all platforms
  • Minimum Qualifications:

  • 7 years professional system administration experience is required
  • Experience should include at least 5 years designing, implementing, and supporting the following core Microsoft technologies: Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS and DHCP, Azure, and Office365
  • Microsoft Certifications MCSE/MCSA or Role-Based equivalents
  • Must be detail oriented, thorough, accurate, and able to efficiently solve problems
  • Strong team player, mature, independent, and works well in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional customer service skills while working with diverse personality types
  • Strong decision-making, problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Takes responsibility and accountability for actions
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
  • Preferred experience:

  • Experience resolving issues with Cisco TAC
  • Cisco Unified Communications
  • Cisco Webex solutions
  • Cisco Meraki
  • ConnectWise Manage, Automate and IT Boost
  • Experience working with HIPPA/PCI and other compliance standards
  • Veeam backup solutions
  • Mergers and Acquisitions
  • Microsoft 365 E5 Security Suite
  • Helpdesk management solutions
