We are seeking a consultant for the Consumer Insights function within our Consumer Solutions business. The consultant is expected to deliver consumer research working with cross-functional teams as well as drive consumer trends that influence our strategy. 

Primary Duties:

  • Collaborating closely with business managers, product (software/hardware) managers, user experience, strategy, and marketing teams to create actionable consumer research that addresses strategic questions to drive data-informed decisions
  • Managing a wide variety of custom primary research studies from methodology design through final analysis and reporting
  • Collecting, managing and reporting insights and trends using various secondary and primary research tools, including tracking studies, online surveys, focus groups, ethnographies, one-on-one interviews, analytics etc.
  • Identifying, onboarding and managing relationships with new and existing vendors
  • Disseminating and actioning insights effectively to various teams and levels across the organization.
  • Owning every step of the research process, including designing research and instruments, monitoring translations, data collection and processing, and reporting, presenting, and activating results
  • Skills

  • Extensive quantitative and qualitative primary research experience in US and international markets, leading to deep understanding of consumers
  • 8+ years of primary research experience, including some on the vendor side
  • Proven track record of generating, sharing and championing insights to various levels of the organization
  • High attention to detail as well as the ability to see the big picture
  • Ability to deal successfully with ambiguity, limited resources and time constraints
  • In depth knowledge of consumer electronics and competitive landscape
  • Demonstrated track record where he/she has operated independently and efficiently to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
  • Education, Certification, and/or Licenses and Experience: Any combination equivalent to, but not limited to, the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, accounting, engineering, or any other technical or quantitative discipline
  • Computer, Software, Tools, and Specific Knowledge:

  • Advanced PowerPoint skills, with experience in presenting complex insights to senior leadership
  • Proficiency with all other MS office applications (i.e. Word, Outlook, Excel)
  • Data savviness, with the ability to drill down and identify key drivers and communicate insightful, actionable recommendations
