Pay rate: $35.00-$40.00/hr
12 months contract. Can become contract to hire depending on performance. Benefits provided during contracting period.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Builds, maintains, tests, and repairs electrical / electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and components. Applies knowledge of electrical / electronic and mechanical principles in determining equipment malfunctions and applies skills in restoring equipment to operation. Provides skilled mechanical and electrical / electronic support to all areas of Engineering function.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Knowledge of and ability to use electronic equipment such as, but not limited to Oscilloscopes, Power analyzers, Temperature recorders, Digital Multimeters, Frequency Generators, etc..
Able to evaluate alternate electronic components to determine suitability for use as an alternate to an already-qualified component
Troubleshoot circuit board defects and compliance with technical documentation
Plans and performs work requiring a thorough knowledge of electrical / electronic and mechanical theories and principles, writing specifications, local and national electrical codes, properties of various materials, and principles of operation and application of electronic equipment.
Visually examine circuit boards for compliance to documentation and in support of quality review. IPC certification is a plus.
Document findings and progress for project tracking and communicate with engineers and suppliers to resolve issues
Records and maintains files on electronic circuit designs.
Perform testing and validation on electronic components in compliance with safety rules and policies
Assists other technical level employees as needed.
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Minimum 3 years of proven experience in the electrical/electronics fields are required and the ability to demonstrate high proficiency in these areas.
Experience in building testing fixtures for electronics devices is a plus.
Experience and ability to work in a fast-paced engineering lab environment.
A thorough knowledge of electrical/ electronic components and equipment including the use of special instruments for diagnostic purposes.
Must be able to work well with all levels of personnel whether individually or in a team environment, and especially must be able to interface and communicate with other technicians and engineers to assist with builds, repairs, and troubleshooting.
Computer experience/operation and test equipment operation are necessary. Ability to program is a plus
Must be highly safety conscious.
Exposed to high voltage electricity.
