A Scrum Master in Syracuse, NY is available through Modis. Must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in a Technical field to be considered for this position. You will lead the scrum team in using Agile methodology and scrum practices. Moving approved and prioritized work quickly and efficiently through the team
Scrum Master job responsibilities:
Responsible for ensuring Scrum is understood and the team adheres to Scrum theory, practice, and guidelines
Clearing obstacles and establishing an environment where the team can be effective
Helping the product owner and development team to achieve customer satisfaction
Lead the scrum and development teams in self-organization
Remove impediments
Resolve conflicts and issues that occur
Help the scrum team achieve higher levels of scrum maturity
Guides the scrum team on how to use Agile practices and principles to deliver high quality products and services to our customers.
Resolves team impediments with other Scrum Masters to increase the effectiveness of the application of Scrum in the organization
Works with Agile coaches and other Scrum Masters to grow within the role
Contributes to the advancement and improvement of Agile practices within the organization
Facilitates and supports all scrum events: Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s Degree in a Technical field is required.
Minimum Five years related experience
Knowledge of numerous well documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach (example: numerous Burndown techniques, numerous Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc)
