This role will be responsible for designing and standing up a data mining capability for key technical platforms in order to monitor, validate, and assess the performance and user experience of those platforms. This would include (but not be limited to):

Identification of appropriate data sources

Building automated access from the identified data sources to feed Power BI, ELK, and Splunk datasets

Development of data visualizations

Creation of real-time analytics to be used to generate notifications for platform support teams


Fast learner, self-driven and can work with a team of experienced engineers

Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills

Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Minimum 7 years experience with the following:

creating visualizations in Microsoft Power BI and/or ELK

accessing data through programmatic APIs

using SQL with an enterprise-level database

designing database tables and indexes

What is expected in this role?

Collaborate with engineers, business analysts, product managers, and other stakeholders on data analysis and reporting projects.

Design and code data acquisition from multiple sources (Aternity, Skype, and Zoom) and combine into an established data mart.

Clean, consolidate and integrate data where applicable to create clearer context and ensure data is ready for reporting processes.

Development of a datastore to drive performance and user experience notifications

Development of PowerBI and/or ELK data visualizations

Validate data by working with engineering and product teams where necessary to scrub or correct data errors, either at the source or within the reporting systems.

Responsible for developing and implementing data collection systems for use by stakeholders and for providing technical expertise regarding data models and data mining. This includes assessing, collecting, analyzing, visualizing, distributing and sustaining self-service data solutions.
