POSITION DESCRIPTION

Modis is looking for a Data Analyst in Seattle, WA. This will be working in a fast-paced global enterprise environment and will require the Analyst to be onsite. The Analyst will be responsible for supporting existing reports, developing new reports, and integrating existing data into a new program management system.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Review and rework existing reports
  • Develop reports and dashboards
  • Support connects to critical systems
  • Create presentations and visualizations to support product development programs
  • Document techniques and procedures for data management, data governance and data visualization
  • Work with end users to identify requirements and needs for new reporting
  • Support and review current Tableau reports
  • Skills/Competencies

  • 2-4 years hands-on BI development experience in Tableau
  • Experience building dashboards by tailoring different data sources
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal as required to both technical and non-technical colleagues
  • Hands-on experience with Tableau software (Desktop and Prep) such as developing in, configuring, and data cleansing
  • Experience with other tools used in conjunction with Tableau such as SharePoint, Snowflake, SQL, Project Online
  • Experience working within a Business Intelligence environment, ideally within Data Governance
  • Understand business needs of the users via user and industry expert engagement
  • Identify key questions and the metrics / statistics that enable users to answer those questions
  • Utilize SQL, Tableau Prep, and potentially R or Python to extract and clean data
  • Build Tableau dashboards using sophisticated technological approaches
  • Review and perform QA on dashboards to ensure accuracy and functionality
  • Build and maintain relationships and with the user base
  • Provide Tableau specific support to the user base
  • Support the sharing of best practices in the use of Tableau across the user base
  • Deliver high quality work on tight schedules in a dynamic, agile product environment.
  • Strong aptitude to understand business concepts, functions, organization, and terminology
  • Education

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in related field
