A Product Engineer I opportunity is now available in courtesy of Akkodis. 

Overall Responsibilities: 

  • Perform data collection tasks (conduct studies/tests) for algorithm and hardware development across products.
  • Help develop new test setups and tools to meet the data collection needs of a variety of teams (consisting of software & research engineers).
  • Develop and configure/edit scripts to run for hardware & sensor data collection.
  • Continually improve the development process to gain efficiency, remove obstacles, and simplify problems.
  • Top 3 Daily Responsibilities: 

  • Execute and monitor data collection tests with development hardware.
  • Plan and oversee collection of high-quality datasets.
  • Work with researchers, program managers, and engineers to define, plan, build, and debug tests.
  • Skill/Experience/Education

  • Mandatory

    BS in Engineering or related field 0-3 years work experience in general Experience working with hardware (including consumer products...such as; Smartphones, Smart home devices, Arduino, Raspberry Pi....not limited to these specific ones). Experience with Python/ C++ or other coding languages Ability to collect data on the behavior of users and devices in a variety of environments, use cases, and situations Ability to perform Blackbox manual testing, executing, and documenting experiments for early-stage product life-cycle development, proof-of-concept, and benchmarking Detail-oriented and ability to complete tasks/projects with set deadlines


    Strong verbal and written communication

    Experience with data querying, visualization, and analysis tools

    Ability to organize, multitask, and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment

    Clinical or technology research experience

    Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with a diverse range of people and job functions

    Demonstrated experience with data collection in both lab environments and in homes
