Project Engineer

This position will require an Electronics Project Engineer to plan, coordinate, and execute development/verification activities necessary to bring innovative, high quality, and customer friendly electronics to market on heavy agricultural machinery.  The scope will include projects in all stages of life, including: research, development and sustaining projects. 


  • Plans and coordinates project/product development activities cross functionally.
  • Capable of authoring and executing comprehensive cross functional schedules.
  • Communicates project status to leadership.
  • Troubleshoots and conducts testing of electrical components for system applications including communications, computing, sensing, control, and power distribution.
  • Capable of performing root cause analysis of issues.
  • Documents detailed defect reports and collaborates with developers on resolution.
  • Ability to travel to field to diagnose and document issues.
  • Work with cross-functional engineering team including mechanical, electrical, software, quality, manufacturing and program management.
  • Collaborate with product teams on the design analysis, simulation, field tests, certification/compliance tests for components sub-systems and systems.
  • Develop and validate information needed for engineering analysis, including root cause analysis, and applies engineering judgment to solve complex technical problems.
  • Drives fast paced projects in both independent and team environments
  • Work with suppliers in initial qualification testing and with customers in field.
  • Estimates project work content and assists in creation of development schedules.
  • Contribute to a professional leadership environment; one that promotes and upholds company values and business-critical objectivess
  • Bachelor’s degree with a field of study in Electrical/Computer/Software Engineering. 
  • Working knowledge and exposure to embedded hardware and software with demonstrated skills and knowledge in electronic hardware design, validation, & manufacturing. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to break complex opportunities/issues/obstacles down into executable action items
  • Experience in electronics design, and manufacturing activities (minimum 10 years).
  • Experience with heavy agricultural or construction machinery operation.
  • Proficiency in requirements management, task/defect tracking, and scheduling.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
