We are looking to add to our Middleware team. Middleware is a brand-new department in Technology and Security. The team currently has a Manager, Middleware -Technology &  Security (new role), and we are looking to build out the team by adding 2 Middleware engineers at this point.

Job Description:

 The Senior Middleware Engineer is responsible for overseeing daily Middleware system administration and for partnering with Enterprise Architects, Solution Architects, and IT teams to manage data integration between internal and cloud applications using our clients middleware (Mulesoft) and monitoring data flows to and from different platforms.

Position Specific Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

1. Middleware Platform Management: • Involved with all the facets of Application Delivery including functional analysis, development of technical requirements, prototyping, coding, testing, deployment, and support.

  • Partner with Enterprise Architects and project teams to translate business requirements into well-designed API solutions that are scalable and global at the core and identify opportunities for reuse.
  • Participate in technical design discussions, influencing decisions about integrations.
  • Lead the overall middleware platform and continuing development and enhancement of current integrations.
  • Identify, formalize and enforce enterprise integration best practices.
  • Work with the application teams to understand the business process and help identify the deployment topology (CloudHub vs hybrid vs On-prem).
  • Help implement and maintain MuleSoft Run Time Fabric.
  • Partner with Quality Assurance and Release Management during testing and deployments of services within the platform.
  • Responsible for providing administrative support for the AnyPoint Platform in addition to maintaining the catalog of services built.
  • Partner with IT teams to maintain and update integrations to support new and existing business objectives and initiatives.
  • Create and maintain documentation (system configurations, mapping, processes, service records).
  • Manage performance monitoring and tuning of Middleware platforms.
  • Automate manual tasks to increase accuracy and efficiency.
  • Research data questions that arise from regular usage of the platform.
  • Develop and maintain common services, libraries, and assets for use across integrations.
  • Mentor and support new developers to the integration platforms and tools.
  • Manage performance monitoring and tuning of Middleware platforms.
  • Develop high quality, reusable and maintainable code using MuleSoft components/connectors.
  • Design API specifications and flows on Anypoint platform.
  • Create APIs and integrations using system specific connectors.
  • Operate and secure APIs and implement usage policies on APIs to control/restrict access.
  • Create a prototype and validate the API, develop and test/debug the API.
  • Troubleshoot issues and provide bug fixes.
  • Writing detailed documentation.
  • Other duties assigned.

2. Problem and Incident Management:

Pay Details: $100,000.00 to $118,000.00 per year
