As the Sr Systems Engineer you will contribute to product success by developing state-of-the art Android Software, to develop & implement engaging new vehicle experiences, ranging from POCs to end-user products.
Salary Range: $130,000.00 and $165,000.00 Location: Palo Alto, CA - Working in a hybrid work environment with onsite and remote workdays. Onsite is required.
Key Responsibilities
• Define, build, and iterate Android, Android Auto, Android Automotive experiences to support existing
and new projects related to vehicle experience and digital lifestyle.
- Own and become a resident expert of various pieces of Android development and functionality within
the team
- Collaborate with other front-end and back-end engineers, vehicle software engineers (local and
Germany) as well as the rest of the cross-functional product team within a fast-paced and multi-
disciplinary environment Required Qualifications
- Experience with Android Studio
- Experience in Testing, in particular Unit & UI testing
- Experience with writing software in a fast-paced engineering team
- Holistic understanding of end-to-end data flow between containerized services and mobile clients
- Extensive experience with Software and mobile application lifecycles
- Familiar with Scrum/Agile work environment
- Proven ability to build, iterate and ship software on time
- Android Automotive OS experience
• 5+ years of Software Development
- 3+ years of Android development (Java/Kotlin) experience
- Embedded and Real-Time System knowledge
- Testing (Suites, Tools & Frameworks) experience
- Automotive architectures, interfaces and vehicle software knowledge is a plus
- Android Auto experience
- Google Automotive Services knowledge
• Strong understanding of front end/UI design methodologies
- Familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, Git, Bitrise and more
