Network Server Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Network Server Engineer for a DIRECT HIRE opportunity with a client located in Peachtree City GA.  This position will perform network infrastructure, server administration, and project work at the direction of the IT Manager to support both local and corporate initiatives.

Salary Range:  $80,000- $90,000

RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist with both physical and virtual server patching and firmware upgrades

Patch and Upgrade virtual environments as needed: Microsoft Hyper-V and VMWare

Setup and Support Print, File, SQL, License, and Web servers

Comfortable with all Microsoft server roles

Server Backup/DR support

Cyber Security support and administration for locally installed tools

Advanced knowledge in PowerShell for server task and automation

Monitor server performance and storage usage

Knowledge of Group Policy (enforces and applies)

LAN/WAN Networking knowledge. Router/Firewall/Switch

REQUIREMENTS

Knowledge and Skills

Strong communication skills

Advanced Microsoft Server knowledge.

Advanced knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMWare and Hyper-V)

Strong understanding of Cyber Security principles and best practices.

Organizational skills

Time management skills

Education and/or Experience

Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in computer related field

5+ years’ experience in server support role.

Communication Skills

Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Able to write correspondence. Able to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
