Desktop Support

  • Provide daily support for all local users, users at various facilities and remote users by phone (ACD Line), desk side (corporate), or remotely
  • Install/upgrade PC hardware/software 
  • Manage porting of new accounts and disconnection of accounts terminations
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware/software problems
  • Maintain adequate security procedures to safeguard systems from unauthorized users, damaged data, virus infections and data due to loss of phones
  • Accept and resolve any Help Desk tickets assigned in a timely manner
  • Provide Network Administrators with auditing and documentation of hardware/software inventory (Asset Management)
  • Other duties assigned
  • REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent mobile/tech support experience.
  • Candidate is required to have a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience working in a LAN/WAN environment. Previous experience in Desktop hardware and software support preferred
  • 2+ years’ experience supporting Mobile Operating Systems Platforms including Rim/Blackberry, Windows Mobile, Windows CE, Windows Compact 7, iOS and Android
  • 2 + years’ experience troubleshooting a wide variety of mobile related issues including carrier/network issues that relate to Microsoft Exchange 20xx (BES and Active Sync)
  • Experience with a wide range of mobile/cellular carriers required (i.e. AT&T, Verizon Wireless)
  • Previous experience using IT service desk management systems such as Remedy, BMC, Numara etc
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite products, specifically Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Excellent Communication, Problem-solving analytical skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (technical and non-technical)
