Health, Safety & Environmental Coordinator

Akkodis is seeking a Health, Safety & Environmental Coordinator for a 6-month contract to hire position with a client located in greater Plymouth, MI. Candidates will have 1-3 years of experience Health, Safety & Environmental Coordinator roles, preferably within a manufacturing environment. 

Pay/Salary Range:  $25-35/hr W2 

Health, Safety & Environmental Coordinator job responsibilities include: 

• Assist the HS&E Manager to uphold, maintain and manage all HS&E related records and programs 

• Train factory workers in safety protocols including respirator fit testing, lock-out/tag-out procedures, etc. 

• Drive adoption of Safety programs across the production team 

• Manage and maintain HS&E related documentation 

• Maintain compliance with OSHA standards and in accordance with ISO14001 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Bachelors Degree in Occupational Safety or similar preferred 

• 1-3 years of related experience, preferably in Manufacturing environment 

• Basic Knowledge of manufacturing processes and industrial safety 

• Hands-on, Self-starter able to work independently 

• Superior communication skills and work ethic required.
