Project Manager/SOX(Agile) experience job opportunity in Raleigh, NC

12-18 month assignment

 Modis is seeking fill a Project Manager/SOX experience job opportunity in Raleigh, NC. The successful candidate will manage, coordinate and facilitate all assigned SOX initiatives while adhering to the Scaled SaFe Agile project management methodology.

  • Typically will manage a portfolio comprised of multiple platform projects and releases simultaneously
  • Partner with lines of business, Enterprise Support Services, Enterprise Project Office and Platform Owners by providing insight on SOX contract language, competitive sites, and requirements as related to SOX policies, standards, guidelines, in order to optimize the Digital client experience.
  • Support the requirements of auxiliary groups, including, but not limited to, the Information Technology, Marketing, Compliance, and Legal departments

    Validate initial project assumptions and assist or lead translation of project requirements into specifications and Agile initiatives, features, and user stories.

  • Prepare, manage, and track project schedules, team staffing needs and budgets, as appropriate. Forecast and direct team member assignments in a highly matrixed organization

    Create and execute clear communication plans for implementation and validation of changes made in production. Utilize available tools and department guidelines for providing regular informal and formal project updates to senior management, stakeholders, and core project team members

  • Prepare and maintain all project documentation including but not limited to iteration cadence, iteration backlogs, issues and risks, including mitigation plans, change management, support plans and stakeholder approvals

    Perform vendor management during development and implementation sprints. Support platform management and vendor management during request for proposal processes

  • Provide subject matter expertise in areas of: project management, project scope definition, risk identification/mitigation, issue tracking, escalation and resolution, use of project delivery methodologies, resource allocation, facilitation, project intervention, knowledge transfer, etc.
  • Makes presentations to senior and executive-level steering committees representing the development of project objectives, negotiations of project scope with the client, risk identification/mitigations, negotiations on project deliverables, timelines and resources

    Develops and manages project schedules at an appropriate level of detail and scrutiny to ensure accurate task sequencing and dependencies

  • Minimum requirements and experience for this job are:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology or Business Administration-related field or equivalent education and related training
  • Eight years of overall professional experience, including three years of project management experience, preferably in an agile or lean organization, and six years of eBusiness or Information Technology experience

    Proficiency with using Microsoft Project and Rally to manage projects

    Office software products

  • Ability to travel, occasionally overnight
  • Defines plans and directs multiple SOX development initiatives

    Provides subject matter expertise in areas of project management, project scope definition, risk identification/mitigation, issue tracking, escalation and resolution, use of project delivery methodologies, resource allocation, facilitation, project intervention, knowledge transfer and other areas of professional knowledge and background

  • 5 + years of leading Agile, Scrum, or SaFE Agile projects devliery methodologies
  • 5+ years of experience in a financial institution
