Modis is seeking a Technology and Product Communications Leader for a corporation in the transportation sector, specifically the electric vehicle industry. This person will play a key role in leading all press relations related to technology advancements and product actions to generate maximum positive impact! The Technology & Product Communications Leader will work closely with the Head of Communications to ensure all relevant Key Performance Initiatives (KPIs) are properly tracked, measured, reported, and achieved. Key initiatives include:
Develop technology and product education programs and initiatives to inform media and key external audiences where appropriate through briefings, tours, and background information sessions.
Develop strong relationships with media, industry analysts and influencers on our technologies and products.
Develop content and other types of materials including strategic communications plans, news releases, messaging documents, talking points, speeches, fact sheets etc.
Lead the development & implementation of communications strategies for technology and products aligned with the company’s goals, objective & strategies.
Help manage media strategies for technology and product news across channels – traditional, digital, social media
Provide guidance and leadership to the social media strategic plan while developing newsworthy technology and product content to help drive effective media engagement.
Specialized Skills Required:
Consistently produce high quality internal and external technology and product content to support communications efforts
Lead the development of press releases, visuals, executive level assets, presentations and additional collateral
Maintain and improve upon owned and shared media assets, including media site, visuals, presentations, and supporting collateral
Demonstrate tactical proficiency in media relations, forming relationships with relevant media and driving earned media results
Lead efforts to achieve media coverage on technological and product advancements by the company
Spearhead development of collateral materials to assist in preparing executive-level media interview opportunities
Experience Required:
5-10 years of Communications or Public Relations experience at an agency, in-house at a corporation or association or journalism experience preferred, but not required
Bachelor Degree with emphasis in journalism, public relations or communications preferred, but not required
Experience in technology, green tech and/or automotive industries preferred, but not required
