Title: Failure Analysis Engineer Pay Rate: $90,000K - $105,000K (Flexible) Location: Rochester Hills, Michigan
Job Description:
We are currently building our in-house Reliability Lab staff and are looking for a talented (FAE) Test Engineer to join our team. In this role you will have the opportunity to perform root cause analysis of problems within electrical components and evaluations of Molex products.
What You Will Do In This Role: Create failure analysis plans to evaluate problems and failure causes on terminals, connectors, and module level products under exposure to electrical, mechanical, and environmental conditions.
Manage successful execution of analysis plans by developing evaluation schedules in collaboration with lab supervisors and ensuring knowledge transfer of requirements and methods to test technicians. Maintain awareness and communication of failure analysis status to lab and product engineering customers.
Complete product evaluation and root cause analysis using collected results. Utilizing standard departmental procedures, develops and modifies Best Practices to establish performance and reliability of the products being evaluated.
Prepare reports documenting the sample preparation, evaluation and analysis methods, equipment, and conditions.
Develop, modify, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (Best Practices) to ensure repeatable and reproducible evaluation methods/results.
Create and conduct root cause/corrective action plans in conjunction with lab and product engineering
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in electrical, electronics or mechanical engineering
Solid understanding and familiarity with vehicle electrical systems and connectivity.
Familiarity with Automotive Products Validation Process and Terms.
Basic Electrical schematic comprehension and development.
