We are currently recruiting for a Windows Systems Administrator in Rochester, NY:

The Windows Systems Administrator will focus is the achievement of strategic departmental goals by enabling the timely introduction of required technological capability as well as deployment of new infrastructure technologies required to support the environment.

Responsibilities of the Windows Systems Administrator Job in Rochester, NY, include:

  • Facilitates and contributes to the ongoing development and implementation of the business strategy through integrated technology planning process;
  • Provides timely and achievable strategies, plans, and objectives to implement the business and associated IT plans;
  • Coordinates the development and implementation of technical infrastructure standards and architecture;
  • Builds an efficient computing / data center environment and organization to meet current and future needs;
  • Maintains an awareness of technical infrastructure key challenges and opportunities through professional organization participation;
  • Responsible for the proper resource planning, project prioritization and project steering to ensure successful project implementations;
  • Responsible for the negotiation of software licenses, hardware purchases/agreements and consulting engagement agreements;
  • Responsible for the communication and change control management for technical infrastructure initiatives;
  • Assures high quality projects delivered within budget and timeline constraints;
  • Ensures that a proper training environment and program is in effect for Infrastructure and Operations personnel;
  • Ensures that the Infrastructure and Operations team operates in accordance with governmental legal/security requirements.
  • Assesses staff skills and recommends training;
  • Develops and provides employees’ performance appraisals feedback;
  • Desired Skills and qualifications of the Windows Systems Administrator Job in Rochester, NY include:

  • Knowledge of the various technologies associated with Computing / Data Center, Endpoints and Mobile environments;
  • Ability to develop proposals for management review and approval;
  • Ability to problem solve and perform analyses;
  • Ability to facilitate, lead, and employ teamwork skill sets and experiences;
  • Ability to manage technical infrastructure projects;
  • Ability to gather requirements, analyze complex business problems, and deploy technical infrastructure;
  • Ability to partner with personnel from all levels.
