We are currently searching for an entry level Engineering Technician to assist with the below long term, entry level, project. This is a one (1) year, W2 type contract with the likelihood of extending to multiple years, or possible transition to FTE during the contract period.

Compensation is $23 p/hr, on site, Goethe Road in Sacramento.  

  • Schedule is Mon-Fri.
  • Must pass background check.
  • Must clear drug screen.
  • Must have reliable transportation as this is an on-site position due to the nature of the
  • work.
  • Requirements:

  • Entry level engineering experience
  • Data migration experience
  • Adobe Suite (Pro or Illustrator)
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with preparing reports, improvement plans, and map knowledge
  • Light project management experience or project leadership
  • Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review and index the contents of document boxes according to indexing standards set by the organization.
  • Assist with various records management projects, including comparing physical and electronic records; records analysis and disposition; and database maintenance.
  • Performs a wide variety of drafting and engineering drawing work from field survey notes, property descriptions, and construction notes using both manual and computer-assisted drawing equipment and standard applications software.
  • Makes a variety of engineering computations, including tabulation of data and preparation of tables, charts, graphs, and other display presentations.
  • Answers a variety of inquiries by providing information shown on maps and in office files, including researching deeds for easements, right of way restrictions, and other restrictions on the use of property and parcels.
  • Maintains, updates, and revises a variety of records, files, maps, and other resource materials, including the compilation of statistics and data for periodic reports and tabulations.
  • Performs projects that involve independent collection and analysis of data, including researching computerized maintenance management records, viewing electronic mapping viewers, and searching through records management software applications.
  • Follow through and complete any assigned engineering support work as directed by professional engineers or higher-level staff.
  • Independently prepare analyses and reports utilizing automated equipment and software.
  • Maintain sets of project records and prepare reports to maintain control of project progress
