2. ETL, experience building pipelines and writing code.
3. 3 years’ experience doing this work and no degree required, or Degree with 1 to 2 years of experience will be attractive.

General Summary and Purpose:

We are looking for a Data/Cloud Engineer to support the scale up of our Data and Analytics team. We are focused on being an end-to-end data-driven organization and that starts with building the data infrastructure. The Data Engineer will play an important role in this development and will build and increase the infrastructure and architecture of data storage and pipelines, and optimizing data collection, flow, and delivery across the firm.

You Will:

Build the infrastructure required for extraction, transformation, and loading of data from several data sources.

Implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability.

Communicate complex solutions and ideas to a variety of team members (other team members, IT leadership, and business leaders) in easily understandable language

Work with IT and our teams to improve data models that feed business intelligence tools, increasing data accessibility and promoting data-driven decision-making across the organization.

You Have:

BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, Informatics or 4 years work experience in business intelligence, database management, ETL Development or related experience can be substituted in lieu of a degree in addition to the minimum years of work experience.

3+ years of experience with structured or unstructured data, streaming and batch data processing, ETL, data wrangling, data ingest, and feature engineering

3+ years of experience working with Data Scientists to gather, structure and compute ETL and Big Data jobs on a recurring basis

2+ years of experience writing Python for ETL

1+ years of experience deploying big data jobs and completing ETL jobs in AWS ecosystem

1+ years of experience deploying AI models in a production cloud environment

1+ years of experience with Spark for ETL and streaming

Experience extracting data from APIs

Experience with data management, data warehousing, data quality, data mapping, data dictionaries and data governance

If Bachelor's degree, 6 or more years' experience in a business intelligence, database management, ETL Development or related experience can be substituted in lieu of a degree in addition to the minimum years of work experience required OR If Master's Degree, 4 or more years' experience in functions articulated above.

Complete job-related assessment may be required

3years' experience with AWS Cloud ETL technologies (e.g., Glue Lambda); PySpark and SQL; Apache AirFlow, Nifi, or Informatica; Hight Performance Computing (HPC); Graph Databases; Tableau or other BI Visualization tools

Data warehouse management and implement data governance policies,

Schema design and dimensional data modeling,

Experience in Financial Services Industry.
