Key Duties

  • Conduct hands on analytics retrieving, compiling, and analyzing large volumes of data from disparate databases into distilled, actionable information needed by management to answer critical business questions.
  • Interact cross-functionally with a wide variety of teams and work closely with them to identify opportunities to improve on the analytics and business performance.
  • Identify actionable opportunities to improve and mature client’s data structure and enterprise data warehouse to provide faster and richer business insights to business leaders
  • Independently perform end-to-end analysis, including requirements specification, data gathering, processing, analysis, ongoing deliverables, and presentations.
  • Support the business with time-critical sales insights and analyses.
  • Perform exploratory and targeted data analyses using descriptive statistics and other methods to develop actionable insights to guide data-driven decision making.
  • Translate analytics outcomes into clear visualizations understandable by the business.
  • Develop forecasting models to forecast product demand and work closely with the menu development, marketing, and supply chain teams.
  • Develop an A/B testing approach using appropriate cross validation techniques and integrate the solution into the business intelligence platform for use by business analysts.
  • Establish best practices around data model governance, data sharing, and scalable reporting (by creating self-serve models) in partnership with business and product teams
  • Actively mentor other members of the team
  • Qualifications/Skills

  • Education - Bachelor’s degree in Math, Statistics, CS, Engineering, Business, or other quantitative fields, OR equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of experience performing quantitative analysis
  • 7+ years of experience with SQL; familiarity with programming languages (e.g. Python) a plus
  • Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, statistical tests, hypothesis testing), basic machine learning techniques (clustering, decision trees, Random Forest, etc.) a plus
  • Comfort managing large datasets using relational databases and automating workflows (e.g., cleaning and manipulating data from multiple sources)
  • Knowledge of reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or others)
  • Strong cross-functional and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to communicate technical content to general audiences
  • Entrepreneurial in nature - able to keep moving initiatives forward in ambiguous situations
  • Self-starter: Independently capable of seeking information, solving conceptual problems, corralling resources, and delivering results
  • Analytical thinker: Comfortable with data and ambiguity; able to both delve into the details and operational tactics, and engage meaningfully on the big picture or overall strategy
