A hybrid or remote contract to hire HRIS Workday Analyst is available through Modis. This position requires at least 3 years of HRIS experience with at least 1 year of Workday experience. Our client is in the Southwest area of Houston and would prefer a local candidate or a regional (Texas, Louisiana) based candidate that could visit the corporate office occasionally.

The HRIS Analyst is an individual contributor role within the HRIS structure. This position partners with HR directors and their customers to analyze work process design and flow, improve processes and leverage the return on technological capabilities. The HRIS Analyst builds project plans, ensures adherence to project schedules, maintains a systems orientation and can work effectively with peers to set technology priorities and conduct long-term planning. This position along with the Lead Analyst serves as the technical points-of-contact for assigned functional area and assists subject matter experts with ensuring data integrity, testing of system changes, report writing and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities. The HRIS Analyst also supports HR Systems upgrades, patches, testing and other technical projects as assigned.

Job Details:

  • Provides system support for HCM integration needs
  • Administers HR systems security to ensure timely functionality for users
  • Provides support for HR systems including, but not limited to, researching and resolving problems, unexpected results or process flaws; perform scheduled activities; recommend solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements
  • Maintains the HR systems and Applications including data inputs, outputs, processes, security, and delegation of data maintenance
  • Leads and partners with the business to map HR processes, clean data, and recommend solutions for continued process improvement
  • Designs and maintains the HRIS in support of the organizations data management and reporting needs.
  • Ensures accuracy and integrity of organizational data within the HRIS.
  • Creates standard and ad hoc queries or reports.
  • Follows established procedures for updating, validating, and correcting employee records or other related HR data.
  • Prepares end-user documentation or training materials as needed.

  • Job Qualifications

  • Experience with Workday required 1 year +
  • Experience with ADP Enterprise preferred
  • Fluency and mastery with Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, regression analysis, VLookups, pivot tables, etc.)
  • Experience with dashboard design capabilities a nice to have
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills with a strong intercultural sensitivity
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively coordinate multiple tasks and able to react to spontaneous changes in priorities
  • Excellent communications skills and is able to effectively explain complex processes
  • Highly developed organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, HR, Finance, or IT related field preferred
  • 3-5 yrs minimum experience in related job area or function
  • Proficient with MS Office products
  • Experience using MS Dynamics AX or other ERP software preferred
  • Detail oriented with the ability to prioritize and think analytically
