Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

  • Maintain the overall integrity and quality of Foundation databases, including auditing databases for accuracy and consistency of information
  • Support the Foundation database systems including Financial Edge, Raisers Edge, Foundant, and Spectrum. 
  • Manage the implementation of all IT related projects to include selection, purchase, installation, testing, user training and on-going maintenance
  • Provide general IT support and manages external IT company
  • Serves as project manager for preparation and implementation of future database conversion
  • Advise staff on database use and suggest training for new and existing staff
  • Research and recommends new technologies and business processes to increase capacity, productivity and efficiency within CFTB operations
  • Develop and maintain queries, data extracts and reports in response to ad hoc requests as well as scheduled needs
  • Develop compliance with policies and procedures to ensure data quality, integrity and reporting standards
  • Assist with the Foundation’s mailing lists, providing support to departments in extracting lists for specific mailings
  • Responsible for new fund setup
  • Follow all organization’s policies, practices, and procedures
  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals
  • Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Qualification/Requirements:

  • Advanced proficiency in database management and all commonly used technologies
  • Ability to perform technology related functions efficiently and accurately
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Excellent communication, relationship building and collaborative skills
  • Creative problem-solving skills
  • Strong understanding and appreciation for the culture of non-profits
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical, financial and legal documents.  Ability to respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.  Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers or members of the business community. 
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.  
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.  Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Utilize complex computer operations, relational databases and operating systems and advanced features of software packages
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to handle a rigorous schedule of deadlines
  • Education/Training/Experience

    Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Experience in database conversion preferred.
