Software Integration Engineer

Embedded Software Engineer to estimate, define and implement embedded software solutions for a system or a component project where the ASPICE process must be applied in Software Development Life

Cycle (Software Requirements Analysis, Software Architecture/Design, Software Implementation, and

supporting Software Testing)

Your challenges

Responsibilities:

  • Focus on development of application components on automotive processors / SoCs; integration of internally re-used standard software components and adaptation/integration of 3rd party software components.
  • Complete scheduled project tasks on time and with a high standard of quality.
  • Perform Software Requirements analysis and design implementation adhering to Automotive SPICE process.
  • Contribute to routine software design reviews, peer code reviews and software testing, and software release process on a regular basis.
  • Maintenance of current production software (Analyze customer change request, Implement changes, Support Test/Validation, and Release)
  • Support Manufacturing End Of Line Test development and other duties as assigned.
  • Conduct bench & integration testing; Support Module/Unit Testing & SW Validation activities
  • Collaborate with offshore Valeo teams.
  • Travel up to 5% to customer sites to support software troubleshooting as required.
  • Other Specifications

  • Strong experience in Software development using Embedded C & C++
  • Experience with application development on automotive SoC processors
  • Good understanding of ARM architecture, Image / Signal processors
  • Familiarity with communication protocols and analysis using logic analyzers
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • IBM Rational DOORS experience is a plus
  • Experience with UML development tools
  • Experience with embedded debugger tools is a plus
  • Experience with GIT or similar version control tools
  • Experience with functional safety or cyber security is a plus
  • Understanding of software engineering principles and best practices
  • Familiarity with Automotive SPICE, CMM, or other software development process model is a plus
  • Let's talk about you:

    Education:

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent
  • Professional Experience:

  • 2-5 years of work experience in the field of embedded software engineering, ideally in the automotive
  • industry
  • Knowledge of embedded software and system
  • Knowledge of used problem resolution management tool (TeamForge)
  • Knowledge of used test methods and development tools
  • Knowledge of process models (e.g. Automotive SPICE)
  • Ability to document comprehensively and concisely
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
