We are looking for a Desktop Support Specialist for a Direct Hire / C2H position on-site in Washington DC


As the Desktop Support Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to lead Help Desk duties locally in Washington, DC as well as assist firm-wide.  You will provide support to end-users on a variety of IT issues in an effective and timely manner.  You must be able to communicate with both technical and non-technical users, apply critical thinking to all scenarios, and provide outstanding customer service. 

Experience needed:

  • 3+ years of IT experience in a Help Desk/Tech support setting
  • The desire to take initiative and actively contribute to the team
  • Great communication skills (Verbal and written)
  • Excellent hardware troubleshooting and diagnosis skills.
  • Expertise in supporting Windows 10 in a large-scale enterprise Windows Active Directory.
  • Experience with remote access troubleshooting (internet connections, RSA tokens, Anyconnect, etc).
  • Experience with a Ticket Management software such as Footprints
  • Proficient knowledge of CLI, VPN, and wireless technologies.
  • Proficient knowledge of LAN/WAN networking technologies.
  • Ability to thoroughly follow SOP, checklists, and other instructions.
  • Day to Day task:

  • Provide competent, service-oriented support and resolve problems to end-users’ satisfaction, firm-wide and locally.
  • Maintain, analyze, and troubleshoot software and computer peripherals.
  • Review, respond to, and track all requests from beginning to through resolution for all tickets received during mailbox shift in accordance with established SLA.
  • Perform meeting set-ups, including video conferences with other offices and clients.
  • Coordinate with teammates and administrative teams to resolve issues and provide technical support for meetings.
