This Fortune 100 retailer serves more than 10 million customers each week at locations throughout most of the U.S. This client relies on multiple PeopleSoft modules for their back-office operations. As the company expanded rapidly, they called on Modis to assist with numerous PeopleSoft production support and upgrade projects. Summaries of those projects include:

  • Modis provided key personnel to a project team to perform complete upgrades to the PeopleSoft Financial suite supporting the client’s operations. We provided all levels of consultants from project managers to PeopleSoft specialists for the project.
  • Modis assisted the client with a critical update of their operating version of PeopleSoft General Ledger. This update needed to be performed as quickly as possible, as PeopleSoft announced they would no longer support the client’s version in operation. To ensure all of the 70 million+ rows of data migrated seamlessly, Modis upgraded the client’s PeopleSoft to the current version, then developed customized program scripts to supplement the conventional upgrade tools. After two weeks of testing, we migrated the application to the modern version successfully.
  • The client has called on Modis to provide consultants to support their IBM legacy mainframe systems to assign their own technicians to support PeopleSoft initiatives. The client also counts on Modis to fill a wide variety of general specialties such as client/server developers, UNIX, C and relationship-database management resources.

Founded in 1986, this retailer has become one of the world’s largest providers of office products. The company takes pride in innovative methods of utilizing every available distribution channel. Based in Florida, the client opened a high-tech test lab and needed a quality assurance team to begin testing various applications.

Modis recruited, interviewed and screened, and provided several testers for this team quickly. The team tested applications in a client/server environment. Our consultants were responsible for developing test conditions, scenarios, cases, scripts and executing the scripts. Technology involved includes WinRunner, LoadRunner and TestDirector. In addition to supporting this testing lab, Modis continues to provide the client with consultants with expertise in database administration and other technical skill sets.
