Role Of Innovation Manager

We head towards Season 6 where we'll see new teams and superbrands such as Mercedes and Porsche. The race has truly changed for us - not just on track. It also applies to all our gaming output whether you are experiencing it on your sofa, on the train or even at the race within our very own E-Village, where the Gaming Zone has become one of the most popular attractions on site.

As our digital Innovation Manager, you will be involved in one of the most exciting areas within Formula E.

The Innovation Manager will work in the Digital Team and will provide full in planning and delivering gaming experiences both at track and at home. 

This role will play a big part in developing and managing our existing product line, including the Gaming Zone, as well as helping shape what our future looks like with the products and technology we have currently in development.

Responsibilities of Innovation Manager

    In the office

  • Work with developers on the IP integration of cars/tracks
  • Work on software integration - strategy and roll out
  • Support technical event management e.g. simulator selection
  • Work closely with eSports broadcasters

    At the track

  • Installation and set-up of simulators and general event tech management
  • Running server to race record times and control cameras for E-Race
  • Manage and run E-Race with broadcast partners

    DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Knowledge and a passion for video games
  • Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology/Software Engineering or similar
  • Project Management – also of multiple projects at once
  • The ability to collaborate effectively across business functions to understand and prioritise varying product requirements
  • Great attention to detail
  • Sound organisational skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Empathy & flexibility to work in an international environment and amongst a diverse international workforce
  • Fluency in English – professional working proficiency level
  • Work permit to work in London, UK – you have to be available from September 1st 2019 to February 28th 2020. Office is located in London, but 25% of international travelling will be required.
  • Position requires flexible working hours – it will be necessary to work in weekends (during races) or when required.
