Modis is currently searching for a full-time/permanent Software Security Specialist to help support a long-term project with our Government client within the Ottawa area.
Job Summary:
Review, analyze, and provide recommendations on software security requirements for software and software interfaces
Review, analyze, and provide recommendations relating to software security components and associated documentation
Provide expertise in the following areas: applications and network security, communications security, identity and access management, security assessment and testing, security operations, and software development security
Liaise with other technical discipline specialist to ensure software confidentiality, availability and integrity from a security point of view
Provide and/or witness software security integration testing, analysis, support, and evaluation
Conduct technical definition studies and options analysis
The successful candidate must possess the following skills and experience:
Proof of current industry recognized qualification in area of expertise. Examples include: CISSP, CISM, CISA, CEH, CompTIA Security+, etc.
Minimum 6 years of experience working in IT/Software Security, including but not limited to the tasks below:
Application/software product security and/or software development security
Reviewing, analyzing, and providing recommendation on security requirement to improve capability
Conducting system security integration attestation
Maintaining build procedures and system management documentations
Level II Secret Clearance granted by the federal government
The following requirements would be considered an asset:
Post-secondary degree or diploma in software, computer, systems, electrical, or a suitable engineering or technical field
Experience working on Military Command and Control systems which can include: Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) applications, Modelling and Simulation (MODSIM) applications, Miscellaneous LC4ISR applications, and Military information systems
