System Administrator/ Desktop Support: 6 month contract

Our Government of Canada client requires a System Administrator/Desktop Support consultant for an initial 6 month contract with a very competitive pay rate.

This contract requires onsite work from Monday to Friday where you will provide support to users within the building as well as nationally and to Canadian Embassies and consulates across the globe. You will be expected to follow established Health and Safety protocols while onsite.

The successful candidate must meet the following mandatory criteria:

  • The candidate must hold a valid Government of Canada security clearance at the Secret (Level 2) and be fluently bilingual.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience, within the last fifteen (15) years, assisting clients with all software programs within the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Minimum (5) years of experience, within the last ten (10) years, using remote administration and support tools, (example: taking control of the client’s desktop using Microsoft’s Remote Assistance, to assist clients with incidents and problems)
  •  Minimum of ten (10) years of experience, within the last fifteen (15) years, working with an incident/problem management tracking software (example: BMC Remedy Action Request System
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience, within the last fifteen (15) years, installing, upgrading and troubleshooting computer hardware (example: desktops, laptops, printers, etc) in a large Microsoft Windows network environment with over 1500 users
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience, within the last ten (10) years, helping clients to resolve an issue with Smartphones (example: Blackberry, Android, Apple) configuration and troubleshooting
  • This particular client requires proof of COVID-19 vaccination at time of hire.
