Modis is looking for a Financial Analyst in Basel area. The ideal candidate will be responsible for all related finance activities: business partner IT projects; providing complex business planning and analysis support, management reporting, budget and latest estimates, forecasting; providing decision-making analysis for M&A projects.

  • Duration: 1 July until end of 2021 (extension possible)

  • Partners effectively on different dimensions
  • Designs and implements global complex accounting and reporting structures for multi domain deals
  • Provides data for negotiations with external as well internal stakeholder on constant basis
  • Evaluates and challenges economic benefit of projects
  • Provides cost transparency and ensure good understanding of key cost drivers
  • Evaluates risks and opportunities, proactively communicates and makes recommendations for mitigation
  • Ensures business partners understand the financial processes and follow internal guidelines/SOPs
  • Generates ad hoc financial analysis to support business decisions
  • Provide financial planning for assigned activities including but not limited to Project budget
  • Ad hoc timely, accurate and meaningful financial management reporting that serve for the basis of performance management and decision making
  • Coordinating financial alignment
  • Challenges business requirements and validate with equivalent benchmarks
  • Works in close collaboration with the Business and supports the financial assessment, evaluation and execution/tracking
  • Ensures good accounting and practices
  • Applies standard accounting concepts and techniques
  • Takes responsibility for specific functional reporting set up
  • Identifies root cause of problems and recommends controls or processes for improvement.

Your profile

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent in Finance & Accounting or similar business degree, MBA desirable
  • 3 - 5 years finance experience in various areas in a global operating, multi-dimensional organization
  • Budgeting, controlling and reporting
  • Business process and system development
  • Very good understanding on business and financial processes
  • Strategy development & implementation
  • Global/Multi-function project and change management experience
  • Fluent in English
